What started as a musing in the Russell Surfboards shaping bay has turned into one of our most in-depth development projects yet. We built The Brotherhood Trunks to blur the line between a modern day board short and the Americana “swim trunks” of the 50s, bridging the legacies with new fabrics not much seen in the world of boardshorts. And 100% USA Made.
The best boardies you’ll ever own, the unique rash-free no-seam thigh design is frictionless for maximum comfort whether you're lounging or surfing. And these beauties feature dual hidden zipper pockets along the side seams - staying true to the traditional surf trunk look with the added convenience and confidence of real pockets.
Cut to the perfect just-above-the-knee length with a bit of a scallop – they’re a nod to the trunks of yesteryear.
The real star of the show is our just-the-right weight American Made (from Berry Amendment Compliant--military spec) 7.2oz stretch woven fabric – insanely comfortable, military grade durable, and quick drying. You’ll find yourself wearing these in the water, to the store, out for lunch--for Days. Weeks. Years. (Hell. Your kid will gleefully claim them when you kick the bucket.)
Russell Surfboards is an iconic Newport Beach, California shop that’s been hand making surfboards since 1967. Our longtime friend JP Roberts is the mastermind of all the beautiful boards that come out of their shaping bay and is a huge proponent of keeping his boards American Made while big brands are producing them overseas. With a keen and meticulous eye for style and anything else he puts his hands on (especially boardshorts) we worked with JP in lockstep to make sure we could deliver you the best damn pair of trunks you’ve ever owned. Take the leap.

Start a return or exchange on our portal.
We want you to love what you've spent your hard earned money on and make the process easy for you. We've made this as simple as possible for our customers by partnering with Redo Returns. By purchasing "unlimited returns and exchanges" at checkout for $1.98, you won't have to sweat the process. You can exchange and return an item as many times as you'd like until we get it right. If you do not purchase this option at checkout, you'll be charged $7.00 for a return label. Without question, we’ll accept any unwashed or unworn items for returns and/or exchanges within 30 days of your original purchase. Your return or exchange will not be accepted if the clothing is returned in poor shape - looks worn, is excessively wrinkled, contains excessive human or animal hair, or is poorly packaged.
If the returns process stumps you, drop us a note at lifelong@deviumusa.com with “RETURN” as the subject, and we’ll get things sorted out right away.
Please keep in mind that your exchange or return may take a few days to get in our hands again. We will do our best to handle any exchanges/returns within 24 hours of receiving.
