Proper Canvas Work Pant

This material has slightly less stretch than the former fabric, for extra durability. We've refined the fit thanks to your valuable feedback. The waist is slightly smaller and more true to size. We also added sizes 31 and 33. The fabric is now hot washed and sanforized for minimal shrinkage compared to your original Proper Pants.
Many years in the making, the Proper Work Pant has been a carefully considered act of love. We combined work pant tradition with only the finest American Made materials, and a few extra bells and whistles to boot. The 11oz stretch basket weave canvas ensures durability with flexibility, and extra-strong bar tacks replace those annoying rivets that dig into your skin.
We worked with real tradesmen (who also skate) to ensure this pant doesn’t miss a beat. It started with the classic double-knee silhouette and snowballed into the best work pant you'll ever put on. Hammer loop on the right side? Check. Drill loop, knife clip zone, pencil pocket, rear pocket that fits a speed square? Yup, it’s got all that too. Oh, did we mention it's 100% Made in the USA --fabrics, trims and even the specialty industrial strength thread?

Our long-time customers wanted a stripped-down version of Devium's bestselling 100% American Made Proper Work Pant. They loved the look and fit -- but didn’t need a hammer loop and double knees on a dinner date. Asked and answered. Our new Proper Lite Pant turns our original work pant into a good-lookin' (and secretly hard wearin') everyday cruiser. The ideal blend of durability and mobility, it uses the same 11oz stretch canvas as our Proper Work Pant. And as always Lifelong Guaranteed.

The 11 oz. Canvas Behind Both Silhouettes
Every Proper Pant starts as the same American-woven cloth: an 11 oz., 98% cotton / 2% spandex cotton-stretch canvas in a subtle 2/2 basket weave — tougher than plain canvas, with a comfort stretch that recovers instead of bagging out. It's milled by our friends at Mount Vernon Mills in Trion, GA, then sanforized, compacted, and dimensionally stabilized — pre-shrunk for a true fit. Only then is it deep-dyed in color that ages gracefully instead of fading flat, so the fit and the color you buy are the fit and color you keep, wash after wash. It's cut and sewn stateside, closed together with heavy-duty American poly/cotton thread and an obsessive number of bar tacks in exactly the right places.The Real Cost-Per-Wear
